The government of Tanzania announces the construction of a major dam in Lumakali, Njombe District. Deputy Minister of Energy Mr Subira Mgalu declared the report and states that the authorities are currently involved in reviewing the feasibility study conducted in 1998. The construction of this 388.2m high dam and power centre will produce 222MW of electricity which will be distributed from Luma. . .

A USD 44.5 million budget has been announced by the Government of Tanzania for the construction, upgrading and rehabilitation of airports around its country in the upcoming financial year. This decision is purely aimed at improving the country's infrastructure and aviation industry.

Successful demonstration of BRT was done by Dar es Salaam, which is the first city to launch a BRT system in East Africa. After the completion of the first phase of the 21 Km BRT in the Dar Es Salaam which includes five terminals, seven feeders, 27 stations and three connector stations. Phase one works on US $1.9bn Dar Es Salaam Standard Gauge Railiway (SGR) between Dar es Salaam and Morogoro in Tanzania nears completion. Minister for Works, Transport and Communications Isack Kamwele revealed the reports.

Construction works on Julius Nyerere International Airport terminal 3 has been announced by the government of Tanzania that it is nearing completion.
