New drug rehab centre slated for East Rand

Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality is set to unveil a new, community-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Daveyton. The new centre will be housed in what was formerly the Daveyton Extension Clinic, according to Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipal Spokesperson Themba Gadebe. Kenya: Crucial TB, Meningitis Vaccine to Arrive mid Jan

Relief as shortage of vaccine protecting children from contracting Tuberculosis (TB) and meningitis to arrive on Friday. Rapid SMS System Has Improved Healthcare

When the Ministry of Health introduced the Rapid SMS system about seven years ago, the number of women giving birth in hospitals was low, and infant mortality rate was high. Plans to implement nuclear build programme in Africa look promising

Construction industry in Kenya posts impressive growth

 The construction industry in Kenya defied high interest rates to post impressive growth, a new report by Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) reveals.   Data released by KNBS, reveals that the sector grew by 14.1 per cent in the third quarter of 2015 compared to 8.8 per cent over a similar period in 2015.   Construction loans to the sector grew by Sh22 billion (or 28 per cent) from Sh79 billion to Sh101 billion during the year.   The KNBS says that the....
