Tanzania: Renewable Energy, Water and Transport to Get Sh240 Billion French Aid

Uganda: UETCL to Build $100 Million Power Sub-Stations with Chinese Aid

Tanzania: President Invites Chinese Investors to Boost Infrastructure, Industrial Development

Kenya Power, Kipeto Sign 100MW Power Purchase Deal

Tanzania Appointed Chair of African Minerals Council

Tanzania has been elected chair of the Governing Council of African Minerals and Geosciences Centre (AMGC). Tanzania: Kiwira Coal Mine Expansion To Start Next Year

 Dodoma — Construction of a coal to electricity project at Kiwira coal mine will start next year, according to the deputy minister for Energy and Minerals, Mr Medard Kalemani informed Parliament today.   He noted that the State Mining Corporation, Stamico, will spend a total of $500 million to develop the project. Tanzania: China To Finance USD 40 Million State-of-the-Art Library at UDSM

The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is undergoing mega-infrastructural transformations that include construction of state-of-the-art modern library to accommodate over 800,000 books to be more globally competitive.   Doubling as a public library and resource centre, the library will have the capacity to host 6,000 people, a conference room and Confucius Centre that can accommodate 2,100 and 500 people respectively. Uganda: France Pledges Shs667 Billion for Expressway Project
