Major boost for Kidney patients as 37 graduate to offer specialized health services

Kenya’s power imports from Uganda now rise 32 per cent

 Kenya’s electricity imports from Uganda grew by nearly a third in the year to July saddled by the shutdown of geothermal power grid for lines maintenance.   Kenya imported 40.7 million kilowatt hours (kWh) from Uganda compared to 31 million units in the first seven months of last year – marking a 32 per cent growth, according to official data.   This is a departure from last year when East Africa’s largest economy cut by half electricity imports.... Kenya Pipeline Company completes repairs on pipeline leak along Mombasa-Nairobi road

 Kenya Pipeline Company has completed repairs on the pipeline leak on the Mombasa-Nairobi line at kilometer 25 near Mazeras. A statement from the company said the leak occurred due to ageing of the line related to a corrosion defect. Kenya Pipeline has already commenced an environmental remediation exercise to conserve the immediate environment where the leakage took place. Kenya Power to use WhatsApp groups to stay in touch with consumers
