  • Global Report : Attractiveness of Kenya's Mining Sector Slightly Up

    The local mining sector’s attractiveness has slightly improved, according to the latest survey by Canadian think-tank Fraser Institute.

  • China gets contract to scan for minerals in Kenya

    Kenya has contracted a Chinese firm to carry out fresh mineral mapping at a cost of Sh7 billion.

  • Kenya in Talks With Miners Over New Royalties

     The government plans to fastrack implementation of higher mining royalties to give Kenyans a bigger share of earnings from the country's mineral resources, newly appointed Mining Cabinet secretary Dan Kazungu said yesterday.
