Under the terms of the Company's Mine Support Services Agreement with Kenyan company Gems and Industrial Minerals Limited, Marula Mining PLC, a mining and development company with an emphasis on Africa, is happy to announce that the first manganese export sales from the Larisoro Manganese Mine in Samburu County, Kenya, have been completed. The management of GIM and Scan Global Logistics Kenya Limited, a Kenya-based subsidiary of Scan Global Logistics Group, oversaw the export sales of the first 476 tonnes of manganese at an average grade of 37% manganese from the stored manganese ore in Nairobi.

High-grade manganese ore was loaded into containers in Nairobi, driven to the Port of Mombasa, and loaded onto the ship M.V. Kota Kaya. The manganese ore was containerized and was scheduled to be delivered to Chinese customers in accordance with pre-existing offtake agreements. The ship departed the port on September 16, 2024.

Marula is now entitled to 60% of the net profits from the sale of this first manganese ore export, as per the conditions of the MMSA. Manganese ore sales from Larisoro will continue on a monthly basis, and in Q4 2024, sales are anticipated to rise as the company accelerates its planned IJS$1.5 million investment in new equipment for the processing, crushing, screening, and mining processes.
