Africa Oil and Tullow Oil seek partner for Kenyan oilfields

 The Canada-listed company said that the partners have discovered oil reserves in Block 13T and Block 10BB in northern Kenya’s South Lokichar Basin, estimated to hold a combined 600mn barrels. Kenya plans to reduce the cost of electricity by 47 per cent in the next three years

THIKA (Xinhua) -- A Kenyan official said Sunday that the country plans to reduce the cost of electricity by 47 per cent in the next three years amid increased power generation from cheaper sources. Kenya: Electricity Prices to Drop Through Ongoin Power Project

 Kenyans will benefit from approximately 47 percent reduction in electricity prices in the next three years owing to increased generation from cheaper sources of power, Principal Secretary for Energy and Petroleum, Eng. Kenya: Chinese Firm to Build Three Berths in Kenya's Lamu Port

US$45.5m multi-storey car park to be constructed in Nairobi, Kenya

City Hall Nairobi has announced a tender notice for the construction of a 3000 multi-storey car park in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD). The project involves developing an AT Sunken Car Park building at a cost of US$45.5m. The project will be undertaken through a public private partnership where the Government of Nairobi County is expected to provide the land for the project, while investors will provide the funds needed.
