Algeria to start construction of Bellara Steel Complex this year

 Construction of the US$2 billion Bellara steel complex construction will kick off in the first quarter of this year 2015 in Jijel East of Algeria, the prefect of Jijel, Ali Bedrici has said.   The steel project will help the country to produce 4 million tons of steel per year in the second phase of construction, but is designed to first assist in producing 2 million tons of steel rebars in its first phase before 2017 in order to meet the requirements of the local market.... Lower oil prices fuel improved trade balance

 SA’s TRADE balance switched from a deficit into a surplus in December as export growth outpaced imports, fuelling optimism that cheaper oil is going to help narrow the current account deficit this year.   Figures released by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) on Friday show that the country’s trade balance shifted from a revised R5.27bn deficit in November to a R6.8bn surplus in December.   This is SA’s highest trade surplus since December.... Egypt engaged in talks on importing Israeli gas

Low Oil Prices To Spur More M&As In Oil & Gas Sector

Kenya to complete construction of the US$186m Southern Bypass by July 2015

Kenya agrees on a 2.5 per cent stake in the planned Uganda oil refinery

 Kenya has agreed to acquire 2.5 per cent of the upcoming Uganda oil refinery, in a deal estimated to cost the exchequer US$ 61m.
