Uganda Prime Minister ask investors for cooperation in development of Oil Sector

A new player to enter cement production in Kenya

 Cement production in Kenya is soon to see a new entrant. A new cement grinding plant is set to be constructed in Western Kenya on a 50 acre piece of land. UK grants investment into infrastucture construction in Kenya

 The UK has agreed to provide a US$5mn grant to TradeMark East Africa for the construction of proper roads between Kenya’s Moi International Airport and Mombasa Port. The road upgrade is expected to begin in April 2015 and go on until June 2016. The funds will be used to upgrade the Port Reitz or airport road into a dual carriageway, which would ease movement of cargo and people to and from the sea and airport. Northern Kenya areas chosen to host regional crude oil pipeline

World Power Sector Emissions Seen Peaking in 2029 - Research

 Global greenhouse gas emissions from the power sector are expected to peak in 2029 and then start falling, but will still be some way above levels needed to limit temperature rise, research showed on Tuesday.   Electricity generation worldwide is forecast to rise by 56 percent by 2040 as economies develop and populations grow, which will hit a peak in power sector emissions of 15.3 gigatonnes in 2029 from 13.1 gigatonnes now, a report by Bloomberg New Energy Finance.... German cement maker opens two new plants in Africa

 The new US$250mn plant has an annual capacity of 1.5mn tonnes and is located at Tabligbo, around 80 km northeast of Lomé. According to the company, with the Scantogo investment, HeidelbergCement has become the largest German foreign investor in Togo. The US$50mn Cimburkina cement grinding plant has an annual capacity of 800,000 tonnes and is located near the capital city Ouagadougou. WENTWORTH RESOURCES ESTIMATES $3.5M IN TANZANIA MONTHLY GAS SALES
