German lender to give Tanzania SMEs 42bn/- financial support

Rwanda Govt leases 22 micro-hydro power plants to private developers

ERCC boosts Ethiopia market share in road construction

Shanzu Beach Resort to construct new block of apartments in Kenya’s Coast

Tender for the construction of the Kenya-Uganda pipeline to be anno

 A tender for the construction of the US$ 4bn Kenya-Uganda pipeline that is expected to cover 1,500km is set to be announced before the end of this year.   The construction project has been incorporated into the Lamu Port- South Sudan-Ethiopia Transport Corridor (Lapsset) infrastructure project.   The Lapsset Corridor Development Authority (LCDA) confirmed the reports and said that the tender that will be inviting companies to submit bids to put up the crude oil.... East Africa: Intra-African Trade Rises As Market Access Between Blocs Improves

 Intra-African trade increased by 50 per cent to $61 billion between 2010 and 2013, according to recent data released by the African Development Bank.   The rise is attributed to improved market access and a strong growth in re-exports among African countries.   The increase marks a strategic shift in internal trade on the continent, which was previously relatively low compared with trade flows from the European Union and China, observers say.   Poor quality.... Kenya: Multi million investments as US extends AGOA trade deal

Eni discovers a supergiant gas field in the Egyptian offshore - the largest ever found in the Mediterranean Sea

 Eni has made a world class supergiant gas discovery at its Zohr Prospect, in the deep waters of Egypt.
