Kenya: Counties to Benefit From $155 Million Solar Power Project

Lamu and Tana River are among 14 energy "underserved" counties set to benefit from a Sh15.9 billion solar power project this year.

 
The Kenya-Off-grid Solar Access Project, which is fully funded by the World Bank, seeks to connect 430,000 off-grid households in the 14 counties.
 
The project's main target is to increase access to energy services in all the specific underserved counties.

Tanzania: China Hails Magufuli Leadership, Funds New Ministry Building

Kenya: All Oil & Gas Contracts Signed By Government Should be Made Public - Civil Society

Nairobi — The Kenya Civil Society Platform on Oil and Gas wants all the oil contracts signed between government and oil exploration companies made public since the discovery of oil in Kenya.

Tanzania has announced a plan to send 500 doctors to Kenya after a doctors' strike paralyzed health services in the neighboring country for months.
