Catalyst buys stake in regional printing firm

Kansai Paint agrees to buy African businesses

 Japan’s Kansai Paint has agreed to buy three east African paint companies to tap into one of the world’s fastest-growing regions as part of its global expansion.   The company’s South African subsidiary Kansai Plascon Africa is to acquire Sadolin Kenya, Sadolin Uganda and Sadolin Tanzania, although it would not reveal how much the deal would be worth. Solar power to treat water for 200 thousand refugees in Tanzania

 SolarWorld Americas Inc is providing 1.2 megawatts of high-performance solar panels to power the world's largest solar-powered, safe-water treatment project. Tanzania to open renewable energy technology training centre

30MW Tanzania solar project wins Access Power’s US$7 million ACF competition

 A 30MW solar PV project in Tanzania is one of the winners of Access Power’s US$7 million Access Co-Development Facility (ACF).   All three winners were announced at this year’s Africa Energy Forum (AEF).
