President Uhuru Kenyatta announced that Kenya would pump and export an estimated 2,000 barrels of oil per day before the next general election. GDC to provide drilling rig and team for oil exploration in Kenya

Reported last week from Kenya, the country’s Geothermal Development Company (GDC) has entered into an agreement with National Oil Corporation of Kenya. Under the agreement, both companies agreed to jointly offer drilling services to speed up oil and gas exploration in Kenya.

Kenya has finalised an agreement with oil explorer Tullow Oil and its partners Africa Oil and A.P. Moller-Maersk for the development of a crude oil pipeline, as it bids to become an oil exporter, the president's office said.
