Tanzania and Slovakia decide to boost their industrial, trade, and investment relations

Posted on : Monday , 1st June 2026

Tanzania and Slovakia have decided to deepen their bilateral trade, industrial, and investment cooperation through business-to-business (B2B) exchanges that will link entrepreneurs and increase business prospects between the two nations.

The agreement was made during discussions at the ministry's headquarters in Mtumba, Dodoma, between Slovak Ambassador to Tanzania, Mr. Ivan Lancaric, and Minister for Industry and Trade, Ms. Judith Kapinga (MP).

The two leaders talked on the significance of encouraging direct interaction between Slovak and Tanzanian companies as a vital platform for strengthening trade alliances, drawing in capital, and fostering industrial growth.

Additionally, they decided to increase collaboration in the creation and growth of industries, especially in the production of automobiles and other industrial gear.

Tanzania continues to prioritize industrial expansion as part of its larger economic goal, according to Ms. Kapinga, who stated during the meeting that the country is still open to strategic investment.

The talks also emphasized Tanzania's role as a gateway to regional markets, such as the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the East African Community (EAC), which provide broader access for investors looking to enter the African market.

It is anticipated that the relationship will improve private sector cooperation and motivate Slovak businesses to investigate investment prospects in Tanzania's expanding manufacturing and industrial sectors.
