By completion, rural coverage will reach 83 percent and urban access will increase to 91.6 percent. By 2030, the government wants 85 percent of rural areas and 95 percent of urban areas to have access.

The Same-Mwanga-Korogwe Project, which is valued at Sh406 billion, provides 51.65 million liters of water per day to 300,000 households in Kilimanjaro and Tanga.

By stabilizing Ruvu River flows and storing 190 billion liters, the Kidunda Dam in Morogoro (Sh335 billion) will benefit 6.77 million people by bolstering supply to Dar es Salaam and the Coast Region.

With 54.1 million liters per day, the Tabora-Nzega-Igunga-Singida Project (Sh602 billion) will help 1.2 million people.

Additional plans include the Kintinku-Lusilile Project (Sh13 billion), which supplies 6.5 million liters per day to 55,000 people in Singida, and the Bunda Project (Sh29.5 billion), which supplies 15 million liters per day to 320,000 residents.

Phase I of the Sh326 billion Lake Victoria-Dodoma-Singida Project aims to supply 200 million liters per day to 1.5 million residents. The Mgango-Kiabakari-Butiama Project (Sh70.9 billion) in Mara produces two million liters per day and spans thirteen villages.

With daily production ranging from 3 to 15 million liters, other urban schemes include Chamwino (Sh13.5 billion), Nanyumbu (Sh80 billion), Kigoma (Sh42 billion), Chato (Sh65 billion), Makambako (Sh42 billion), and Singida (Sh45 billion).

Climate-resilient designs are included into certain projects. With a daily production of 30 million liters, the Simiyu Resilience Project (Sh500 billion) will provide for 495,000 residents and 2.5 million dependents.

A Sh185 billion project in Morogoro increases production to 89 million liters per day by renovating Mindu Dam and constructing a new treatment facility at Mafiga.
