Healthcare Giant Expands into Kenyan Market with Popular Personal Hygiene Brands

Posted on : Monday , 11th November 2024

Shalina Healthcare is now targeting the Kenyan consumer market by introducing international brands.

The company is counting on the opening of its consumer segment to launch brands like Germol, a personal hygiene care company that has improved the lives of millions of people in Sub-Saharan Africa, according to Vikas Khandelwal, vice president and business head for East Africa.

According to Khandelwal, Germol won the SuperBrand 2023 title in Angola's personal hygiene division.

Launched in 2023, the Monalisa brand offers a wide range of body lotions and creams that are designed with Africans' essence in mind. Each product from this company promises intense moisturizing properties that last up to 48 hours, paying homage to the unique and gorgeous African skin, he stated.

Khandelwal claims that Shalina Healthcare's dedication to authenticity and excellence is demonstrated by the Monalisa brand.

With the purchase of Orange Pharmaceutical in Kenya in 2022, Shalina Healthcare boosted its investments and rose into the top five pharmaceutical firms in Kenya.

"Shalina Healthcare increased its product portfolio by utilizing Orange Pharmaceutical's experience, improving its capacity to address the various healthcare requirements of the Kenyan populace," Khandelwal stated.

He stated that Shalina Healthcare is still dedicated to its goal of offering 1 billion people in Africa high-quality brands at reasonable costs, guided by its core values of availability, affordability, and quality.

Shalina Healthcare Kenya Limited, with offices along Thika Road in Babadogo, has more than 200 employees and conducts marketing and sales activities all throughout the nation.

With the purchase of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company (PMC) group in 2018, Shalina Healthcare achieved a major milestone and formally began operations in Kenya.

Following the debut of multiple international brands in various therapies like dermatology and pain management, this demonstrated its cooperative efforts to realize a vision for a healthier and happy African continent.
