NHC launches sale of new Mtwara houses

Officials of the state-owned real estate developer say the project is part of the NHC ten-year strategic plan spanning 2015 and 2025. Speaking at the launching ceremony in Dar es Salaam, the NHC's Acting Director of Sales and Marketing, Mr Tuntufye Mwambusi, said the Bank of Tanzania (BoT) has already booked 10 of the 30 residential houses.

"The Shangani residential apartments are located on the outskirts of Mtwara town which is adjacent to other residential and social services plots which are mostly semi developed.

"Shangani project has 30 units on a site, which include social amenities necessary to make the development a sustainable and functional community," Mr Mwambusi explained.

He explained further that each of the three-bedroom self-contained housing unit will be sold at 190.127m/- excluding Value Added Tax (VAT) and when the taxes are included each unit will attract 224.349m/-.

According to Mr Mwambusi, the project is designed to suit the urban living environment targeting the affluent income societies, middle and upper income group.

"These include buyers who are looking to buy the property for investment with necessary amenities such as club house and ample car parking for residents and tenants within the building," he explained.

Conveniently located on the outskirts of Mtwara town, the Shangani Apartments project is adorned with all needed facilities like club house, kids play ground, parking space as well as landscaping and guard house.
