Ethiopian Ambassador Meets Toyota Tsusho Corp Officials to Discuss Investment

Tefera Derbew, Ethiopia's Ambassador to Japan, met with Toyota Tsusho Corporation executives to examine business potential in the East African country.

 

The ambassador met with Kazumasa Kimura, Executive Officer for New Business Development Africa Division COO of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, and Hiroumi Ohara, Manager of the Africa Division's power and infrastructure section.

 

According to a statement from the embassy, Ambassador Tefera lectured Toyota Tsusho Corporation personnel on investment prospects, incentives, and investment rules.

Toyota Tsusho Corporation, a trade division of the Toyota Group, sells cars, trucks, steel goods, equipment for the manufacturing industry, chemicals, and energy both domestically and abroad.

 

The Ethiopian ambassador has urged the corporation, in a conversation with corporate representatives, to make investments in a variety of sectors, including the manufacturing of automobiles, fertiliser, drugs, and energy.

 

Kazumasa Kimura, for his part, described Toyota Tsusho's African endeavours and emphasised its work in the mobility and energy sectors in Ethiopia.

 

According to the Ethiopian embassy, the executive officer has also underlined the corporation's ambition to boost energy sector investment in Ethiopia as part of its African agenda.
