  • Tanzania, Uganda Agree Construction of New Oil Pipeline

    Tanzania and Uganda have agreed to construct a 1,120km long oil pipeline, in a project estimated to create more than 15,000 jobs.

     
    The agreement follows talks between the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mr John Pombe Magufuli and the President of the Republic of Uganda, Mr Yoweri Museveni, which were held on Tuesday evening in Arusha.

  • SacOil Signs Agreement for Gas Pipeline From Mozambique to Gauteng

    SacOil has signed a cooperation agreement that will result in the construction of an estimated $6bn, 2 600km, large-diameter pipeline to transport natural gas from Mozambique's Rovuma Basin to Gauteng.

     
    Part of the consortium entering the deal with SacOil is the China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau, a Chinese and international pipeline construction company.

  • Tanzania Discovers More Gas on Ruvu Basin

    Tanzania has made yet another discovery of natural gas reserves totalling 2.17 trillion cubic feet (tcf) along Ruvu Basin in Coast Region.

    The discovery has been made at a block operated by Dodsal Hydrocarbons and Power Tanzania Limited owned and chaired by UAE-based billionaire, Dr Rejan Kilachand.

  • Oryx Builds LPG Liquefaction Plant in Tanzania

    Oryx Energies has commissioned the first LPG Cylinder liquefaction plant in Tanzania, a move that would boost supply of gas in the country.

     
    According to the company's Country Director, Mr Nick McAleer, the plant represents an investment of 1.5bn/-and is part of the company's significant growth plans for bringing Oryx Gas to all parts of the country.
