  • Rwanda: Rwf5 Billion Project to Promote Child, Maternal Health

     The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in Rwanda has received a Rwf5 billion grant from Global Affairs Canada, through ADRA Canada and Christian Child Fund, to implement two new projects aimed at fighting maternal, newborn and child mortality and malnutrition in Nyabihu and Kayonza Districts.

  • Mediheal Group of hospitals to open liver clinic in Nairobi, Eldoret and Nakuru

     The Mediheal Group of hospitals will open three liver clinics in Kenya after signing a partnership with India's Yashoda Institute of Liver Transplant and Hepatobiliary Diseases.

  • Dentist to return to Kenyan communities

     Dr Magdalena Laskowska, of Harwood Dental Practice in Tavistock, and Dr Mitesh Badiani, who set up the charity SmileStar, along with a team of volunteers will be returning to Kenya to provide dental treatment and oral health education to the local communities.

    Many of the rural areas in Kenya have no dental service. Kenya’s population of 44-million has only 1,000 dentists . . .
