  • Tanzania: Mega 60 Trillion/ - Gas Plant Set for Lindi

     The Minister for Energy and Minerals, Professor Sospeter Muhongo, revealed yesterday that the government will invest at least 30 billion USD (over 60 trillion/-) for the construction of a gas processing plant in Lindi Region.

  • Tanzania: Govt to Adopt Bulk Procurement System in LPG Importation

    Importation of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the country has changed, with the government adopting the bulk procurement system effective September, this year.

    Dar es Salaam — The Petroleum Bulk Procurement Agency (PBPA) will start to procure Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) from September, the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (Ewura) confirmed yesterday.

    Construction of the Uganda-Tanzania crude oil export pipeline is planned to start in January next year, Uganda's Energy minister Irene Muloni has said.
