The Epson Liquid Launch Project Will Aid African Schools By Enhancing Education Through Technology

Posted on :Thursday , 22nd August 2024

The international technology company Epson has established a school donation initiative that will provide printers, projectors and visualisers to African schools. The organisation and network supplier Liquid Intelligent Technologies have partnered to embark on this journey.

This program is a component of Epson's larger effort to provide schools and hospitals in eight Middle Eastern and African (MEA) nations with over 800 EcoTank printers and hundreds of bundles of interactive classroom kits.

Through the arrangement, schools will receive equipment expected to cost slightly over $30,000, with Liquid Intelligent Technologies providing last-mile support. Moreover, Liquid has already been collaborating with UNICEF on a project to provide internet access to Kenyan schools.

This program has a huge influence, as does the part that technology plays in increasing everyone's accessibility to educational resources. Epson is committed to developing the next generation of talent and making sure that all kids, regardless of location or socioeconomic status, have access to high-quality education. Not only are the EcoTank printers energy-efficient, but they also have a three-year supply of ink. This not only makes them a durable, sustainable alternative for educational institutions, according to Mukesh Bector, Regional Head of Epson for East and West Africa.

Ben Roberts, Group Chief Technology and Innovation Officer of Liquid Intelligent Technologies, stated that this collaboration is a big step towards improving educational possibilities through technology.

Liquid's connectivity is made possible for the schools through this partnership, and the addition of ICT gear like printers, projectors, and visualisers amplifies the impact of the almost limitless access to resources and information that comes with being connected. Roberts states, "Our last-mile internet distribution, which links ICT teacher communities, will enhance our collaboration with Epson in last-mile printer distribution and support.
