Nairobi, Kenya is rapidly becoming a hub for stunning feats of architecture and design. Nairobi now boasts a number of ultra-modern buildings; this trend is expected to continue with investors increasingly interested in such projects.

President Uhuru recently laid the foundation in a ceremony for what is set to be Africa’s tallest building, in May this year.

The Pinnacle Tower, a 70-storey building in Upper Hill Nairobi will offer contemporary commercial office spaces, luxury apartments and will feature a five-star Hilton Hotel alongside a three-story shopping mall and an entertainment center.

Cytonn Real Estate has also got plans in place for a  Sh20 billion iconic mixed-use development project named Cytonn Towers.

The development will be situated on a four-acre parcel in the Kilmani area in Nairobi. This project is expected to act as Nairobi’s center for premier businesses, retail, entertainment, hospitality, and residence.

Nairobi City County Deputy Governor, Polycarp Igathe said, “I wish to congratulate Cytonn for the high caliber development being done by Kenyans. As Nairobi County government we will back you in building a productive city which is what we are about; productive people and productive living”

“A project of this degree is a welcome development to the city as we anticipate job creation of over 4,000 people and not to mention the economic development potential it represents” he added.

The project will stem from a 174,000 square foot property and will include a sky bridge restaurant, which will be Kenya’s highest suspended restaurant.

It will also be home to Nairobi's biggest ballroom, an elevated infinity edge pool, a double horizon fitness club and an apex sky lounge and observatory deck that will be a celebration of being at the top of the whole city of Nairobi

Board Chairman of Cytonn investments, Prof Daniel Mugendi has stated that the handling of finances will be transparent and will be handled in a manner that is accountable, so as to ensure the safety of investments.

He also revealed that the 150 meters high, 35-floor triplex tower will be equipped with an office, hotel and serviced apartments and also residential apartments that would rise above a retail podium.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2018 and will finish in December 2022, if all goes to plan. The developers aim to capture the attention of the upper middle class and embassies looking for a prime location with this project.

The triple tower will also feature three bedroom duplex apartments and penthouse suites, 180 hotel room, 160 serviced apartments and 30 office floors. Cytonn’s Managing Partner concluded by saying “We always aspire to have the best product in each of our segments.”
