Skysat Launches First Label Printing Machine In Africa

 Skysat Technologies Limited, the sole distributor of Konica Minolta digital print solutions in Nigeria and Ghana has launched the first labeling printing machine in Africa. The machine, codenamed: bizhub PRESS C71cf is one of the many digital printing products of Konica Minolta and Brother that were unveiled at the ongoing 4th digital print solution expo tagged: “Exceeding Your Business Expectations,” which began yesterday at Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.

 
The machine which was designed for production of quick turnaround and short run labels and light packages, has some distinctive features including high-resolution of 1,200 dpi that produces a high-precision finish, newly developed digital toner to further improve image quality, top level speed and printing performance ability and image density control technology, with advanced colour management tools, compared to several technologies.
 
The bizhub PRESS C7cf is ideal for label converters who are looking to shift volumes from conventional presses to digital to the reduction of print run lengths, request for faster delivery times, personalization and versioning as well as production of on-demand runs, officials of the company said. “The bizhub PRESS C7cf offers outstanding productivity, brilliant image quality and a surprising ease of use: it is perfect for  new market expansion and complementary use with existing analogue machines,” Tsukasa Uehara, head of South Africa office of Konica Minolta said at a press conference yesterday.
 
The chief executive officer  of Skysat Technologies, Mr Izzat Debs who hosted the exhibition said the company has dozens of trained technicians all over the country to provide sales support services to customers. He further explained that the labeling printer has the ability to generate back code that makes it impossible for anyone to fake the labels of its users.
 
The exhibition also witnessed the formal launch of Brother MFC printers and Duplo print finishing machines into the Nigerian market. Digital copy printers, monochrome laser printers, industrial PC labeling machine scanners which are new products in the stable of Skysat were also launched. Others are: Ysoft SafeQ Server, Ysoft SafeQ Terminal – MFD, KIP 850: multi-touch colour print system, KIP 870: multi-touch production colour print system, among others.
