To increase its presence in East Africa, Metso and Rock Plant sign a distribution deal.

Metso and Rock Plant Ltd., a reputable and long-standing dealership for top construction and quarrying machinery brands in East Africa, have reached a distribution agreement.

With this deal, Metso's footprint in East Africa will be strengthened through a strategic, growth-oriented cooperation. In Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, Rock Plant will serve as a representative for Metso's crushing and screening machinery, components, and services.

One of Africa's fastest-growing markets for mining and aggregates is East Africa. We needed a partner with a solid local presence, technological expertise, and a track record of providing services in order to fully realize this potential. Rock Plant has a strong presence in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, a long history of heavy equipment distribution, and a skilled staff with strong industry ties. According to Ignacio Garcia, Distribution Manager, EMEA North, Metso, this collaboration enables Metso to expand its reach, enhance response, and guarantee uniform customer service throughout the area.

Customers in all three nations are looking for dependable, fuel-efficient, and simple-to-maintain equipment that can function in challenging or remote environments. Because quarries and project sites are spread, mobile and modular solutions are especially pertinent.

By collaborating with Metso, we can add a top-notch crushing and screening brand to our portfolio. According to Pritpal Roopra, Managing Director of Rock Plant, "this partnership gives our customers access to industry-leading technology, backed by our local service and support network."

The partnership combines Rock Plant's local presence and service capabilities with Metso's leadership in global technology. Faster response times, local spare parts availability, and expert assistance throughout the equipment lifecycle—from commissioning and selection to maintenance and upgrades—will all benefit customers. According to Adam Benn, Director of Capital Sales, EMEA North, Metso, "this means better uptime, lower operating costs, and access to proven, sustainable solutions built for local conditions."
