A partnership between Tupande and SunCulture has been announced to offer smallholder farmers in Kenya solar irrigation solutions, training programs, and reasonably priced, high-quality agricultural inputs. Increased agricultural productivity, better food security, and higher farmer incomes are the goals of this alliance.
Kenyan smallholder farmers deal with a number of difficulties, such as restricted access to dependable irrigation systems and high-quality agricultural supplies. In a joint statement, the companies stated that the partnership aims to address these issues and raise the standard of living for smallholder farmers by fusing SunCulture's cutting-edge solar-powered irrigation technologies with Tupande's experience in giving farmers access to financing, training, and agricultural inputs.
The solar-powered irrigation systems from SunCulture are made to be reasonably priced, simple to operate, and eco-friendly. Even in isolated locations without access to electricity, farmers can effectively water their crops.
Additionally, SunCulture offers a financing mechanism called Pay as You Grow (PAYG), which enables smallholder farmers to buy solar irrigation equipment without having to pay a hefty upfront fee by allowing them to make payments in manageable installments.
"We are excited to work with Tupande to reach more smallholder farmers in Kenya with our solar irrigation solutions," stated SunCulture CEO Samir Ibrahim.
SunCulture's products will be distributed through Tupande stores throughout Kenya as a result of this partnership, reaching thousands of smallholder farmers and giving them the equipment and supplies they require to be successful in the agricultural industry. The collaboration will help create a more sustainable and food-secure future for farmers and their communities by expanding access to high-quality inputs and irrigation solutions.
We will provide a comprehensive solution through Tupande's collaboration with Sunculture to solve the issues smallholder farmers in Kenya confront, including their access to high-quality inputs and their capacity to produce all year round. Tupande product lead Joel Ogembo stated, "They will have all the tools they need to grow their way out of impoverishment and provide sustainable food security."
