NHC Strengthens Strategic Support For BUILDEXPO 2017

National Housing Corporation (NHC) Tanzania will be the main supporting partner at the 20th BUILDEXPO Tanzania, the largest and most successful building and construction show in East Africa, taking place at the Mlimani City Conference Centre (MCCC) Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from the 10th to 12th August, 2017.
The National Housing Corporation is the outcome of the decision of the Government to dissolve the Register of building (RoB) through Act of Parliament No.2 of 1990, which vested its responsibilities with the NHC.
This role mandates the NHC to undertake an array of businesses:
- Construction of houses for sale.
- Construction of buildings as part of approved scheme.
- Provision of facilitating the provision of building materials, components, concrete article and other related articles.
- Business of building contractors, planners or consultants.
- Renting out and managing houses or properties built by the corporation and those acquired by the government.
- Carrying out other activities related to construction of houses or other building built or acquired by the corporation.

BUILDEXPO TANZANIA 2017 will host over 250 exhibitors from 30 countries including Germany, China, India, Turkey, Italy, UAE and Greece along with leading construction firms from East Africa.
Massive country specific pavilions will be another feature of BUILDEXPO, with over 60 companies registered as part of the China pavilion, more than 35 firms making up the Turkey pavilion and an Indian consortium of over 30 companies.
