Construction of Ethiopia’s tallest bank edifice undertaken by China progressing well

Posted on : Thursday , 15th September 2016

The state-owned Bank and the Chinese company signed an agreement last year for the construction of the would-be tallest structure in East Africa.

Accompanied by members of the management body, Bekalu Zeleke, CBE President, visited the on-going construction of the project on Monday.

“The progress is amazing. It is going very well on the satisfaction of the management and the bank,” CBE President said while visiting the construction site.

The CBE President also hails the project’s contribution to knowledge transfer and experience sharing between the Chinese and Ethiopian workers.

“We have good relationship with the management of the Chinese company, and every time when I come to the site, the quality is very good, and the working culture of the Chinese is very good… We expect Ethiopian workers take a lot of experience from this project,” said Bekalu.
