Ministry of Minerals Signs Three Agreements to Explore Gold in Some States

Khartoum — The Ministry of Minerals signed three franchise agreements with national and foreign companies to operate in gold mining and other minerals.

 
The Minister of Minerals Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Sadiq Al-Karuri signed, on behalf of the government of Sudan, a concession agreement with Italian company to explore gold at Delgo locality in the Northern State.
 
The Director of the Italian company stressed his full determination to start production during a week period with the assistance of famous international companies using an aerial survey.
 
The ministry also signed a second agreement with Bezl Company to explore gold at Talodi locality in South Kordofan State as well as a third franchise agreement with the Core company of the Sudanese-foreign partnership for mining for gold in the Red Sea State.
 
The Minister of Minerals revealed existence of many promising companies identified large amounts of different mineral reserves.
 
The minister affirmed, during a meeting with the delegation of Mayas Company headed by its Country Director Richard Clark, his full support to the company.
 
The company is engaging in gold mining in block 14 at Abu Hamad Locality in Nahral-Neil State. The minister pledged to remove all the obstacles facing the company, demanding the company to start production earlier, encouraging it to manufacture raw materials rather than to export them to give them added value.
 
For his part, the Country Director of Mayas company stressed his keenness to work with the government of Sudan for the development of mining, particularly the organized one, revealing the availability of large reserves of minerals at the concession block granted to them, revealing that they have paid more than 400 million dollars for production of a huge mining of gold by the year 2018.
