Mozambique: Joint Venture to Mine Alluvial Gold

London — The British based company Xtract Resources has entered into a joint venture with Mineral Technologies International to develop an alluvial gold mine in the central Mozambican province of Manica.   A statement from Xtract released on Tuesday said that the two companies plan to begin gold production within six months and expect to extract 32,000 ounces of gold per year. Uganda: Shs20 Billion Fish Project Launched

Kenya: Free Tractors, Seeds for Machakos Farmers

Some 1,000 farmers in all wards of Machakos county can take advantage of the free tractor programme.   Speaking when he launched the programme in Machakos town yesterday, Agriculture chief officer Nimrod Mbai said 38 tractors are ready for use.   He said in the next three weeks, all selected farmers will have their farms tilled in readiness for the El Nino rains.   Targeted areas are Masinga, Yatta, Mwala, Matungulu, Kangundo and Kathiani subcounties.   The.... The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has promised to deploy drones in fighting crude oil theft. The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps perhaps, as a result of synergy with the NNPC, has been reported to have procured one to fight pipeline vandalism. Dar-Kenya trade scales East Africa high

Kenya is Tanzania’s leading trade partner

 Kenya is Tanzania’s leading trade partner in East Africa. Medical Center in Africa to be reconstructed with improved facilities

European Union boosts road construction in Ethiopia

The European Union (EU) has pledged 540 million Euros to boost road construction in Ethiopia especially in rural areas for the next five years. Tanzania signs oil pipeline MoU with Uganda
