PLASTICS, PRINTING AND PACKAGING EXPO OPENS AT THE KICC, NAIROBI

The 22nd edition of the PPPEXPO 2019 was inaugurated at KICC, Nairobi in Kenya by Mr. Roy Otieno, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives, Government of Kenya. Running from the 1st – 3rd August 2019 for the plastic, printing and packaging industry. The PPPEXPO 2019 brings to Kenya the latest products and developments in the printing and packaging sector made globally across the industry while opening up more opportunities for the multi-use plastics business in East Africa. Kenya is one of the major access points in Africa and relies on the huge volume of imports in the country for its own consumption to cater to over 40 million consumers.

Last year, the country imported goods valued at $200 million and re-exported goods worth $520 million. Kenya's growth resumed in the last five years reaching 5.7% in 2018 placing the country as one of the fastest growing economies in Sub-Saharan Africa.
