Kenya Receives Ksh 1B Grant For Medical Equipment And Scholarships

Kenya and Japan governments have signed a grant amounting to approximately Ksh 1.02 billion for the provision of medical equipment to be installed in various health facilities across the country.
 

The grant is also expected to enhance healthcare delivery to all Kenyans and modernize health facilities countrywide.
 

National treasury and planning CS. Ambassador Ukur Yatani, said that the UHC phase will contribute to the achievement of health sector strategic goal of attaining equitable quality health care for all citizens of Kenya during this pandemic which has taken all nations with a blow.Yatani was speaking when signing the agreement with well wishers from Japan in allowance for Development Scholarship and Japan grant under the economic and social development program on provision of Media equipment.
 

Yatani added that Kenya will continue to strengthen the two bilateral friendship as well as improving scholarships engagement in the coming year’s .The Cs is hoping the grant will improve many life's in Kenya as the Nation is in need of more facilities to fight the Covid 19 virus which has down fall the country’s Economy.
