Africa’s largest International Mining Technology Trade show is back in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 1st – 3rd November, 2018.  Hon'ble William Vangimembe Lukuvi, Minister for Lands, Housing and Human Settlement Development will inaugurate the 4th Minexpo 2018 on the 1st of November 2018. The event  is one of the leading mining trade shows, showcasing the widest range of innovative technology in mining and processing of minerals. Hosted at the Diamond Jubilee Expo Center, right in the middle of Dar es Salaam the expo connects mining technology companies with investors, manufacturers, distributors and mining companies.

Supported by the East African Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture and African Business Development Association, the exhibition looks to provide a singular platform for both local and international exhibitors, professionals, buyers and delegates to not only present their products but to exchange ideas, venture into new businesses and form fruitful partnerships. The event is focused on a vigorous program covering a broad array of opportunities present in this industry in the current economic climate.

International supporting partners in the mining sector this year include Canadian Mining Suppliers Association(CMS) and Continental Automated Buildings Association(CABA). International participation for key companies at the 4th Minexpo Tanzania include Aggreko (UK), Star Trace (India), Parker Hannafin (South Africa),  Zenith Industrial (India), Dragflow S.r.l (Italy), Shandong Xinhai Mining Technology (China) Everdigm (Korea), Terex Minerals Processing Systems (India), BME (South Africa),  Geometrica (USA), JSI Rock Tools (China),Africa GloSafe (Zambia),  Zhengzhou Hengji (China) and Techking (China).

Representing Tanzania at the Minexpo are industry leaders Tanimco Ltd, Nas Tyre Services, ELB East Africa and many more.

The mining industry is the backbone of African economy, and is one of the core sectors that drive growth in the African continent in terms of both infrastructure and economy The industry also acts as a catalyst for the magnification in other sectors such as construction, power & energy and industrialization. The future of the mining sector in Africa depends on skillful extraction and processing. Major investments from countries like China and India have traditionally supported the mining industry in this part of Africa however recent changes in policies have encouraged more South East Asian companies and European companies to explore the opportunities available.
